Imogen Heap: Wait it out

Where do we go from here?
How do we carry on?
I can’t get beyond the questions.
Clambering for the scraps
In the shatter of us collapsed.
That cuts me with every could-have-been.

Pain on pain on play, repeating
With the backup makeshift life in waiting.

Everybody says: “Time heals everything.”
But what of the wretched hollow?
The endless in-between?
Are we just going to wait it out?

There’s nothing to see here now,
Turning the sign around;
We’re closed to the Earth ’til further notice.
Stumbling cliché case -
Crumpled and puffy-faced -
Dead in the stare of a thousand miles.

All I want: only one street-level miracle.
I’ll be a an out-and-out, born again from none more cynical.

Everybody says that time heals everything all in the end.
But what of the wretched hollow?
The endless in-between?
Are we just going to wait it out?

And sit here cold?
We’ll be long gone by then.
And lackluster in dust we lay
’round old magazines.
Fluorescent lighting sets the scene
For all we could and should be being
In the one life that we’ve got.

(Musical interlude)
In the one life that we’ve got.

Everybody says that time heals everything.
But what of the wretched hollow?
The endless in-between?

Are we just going to wait it out?
Sit here. Just going to wait it out?
Sit here cold. Just going to sweat it out?

Wait it out.

Happy Birthday Singapore!

The year my ICT was cut short

It was suppose to be from the 29/06 to the 10/07 but it was cut short because I have to attend commencement, which is tomorrow by the way. So here I am in ITI on a Wednesday, waiting for dinner and then off I head to the guardroom to book out, collect my new spectacles and head home to make sure my gown and clothes are ready for tomorrow’s big day.

From where I sit, banging on my keyboard as I types this entry, the weather outside is fine, among the many men in the computer room, only the sound of the mouse clicking could be heard, and of course my loud typing. Just 4 more hours before I can book out; tried to go to sleep just now but somehow I couldn’t.

Today’s suppose to be the second day of Ex. Pegasus, complete with rigging and all which I conveniently evaded (ain’t my fault).

The computer connection is slow and without the Flash and the works installed, it’s hard to play any games.

Random things are coming out now.

Out!

The time is here again..

when I have an ‘add new post’ page in front of me and i go …………………………………………

What a shame

Saw 2 old men fighting.. not physically but verbally..

a chinese man and an indian man.. both cussing each other using the malay tongue..

childish behaviours seriously..

I would ask for them to grow up but they are too old to do any more growing up..
