Hooray!

Congratulations on your graduation! We will be printing your degree scroll soon.

For a moment there I forgot to check my results..

An Asian Fairy Bluebird.. seriously.. that is what this bird is called. Nik was the one who identified the bird. It looked like a Drongo except that when it flew, the blue wings was unmistakably shimmering in the afternoon sun.

DSC02411Have no idea what this snake is called. Maybe green tree snake. It was slowly feeling its way by sticking out its tongue and jerking its head forward slowly. It was about a meter long.

And the Racket-tailed Drongo makes its appearance often in Bt Timah with its calls. This one is a male. I just love how this birds’ tail looks. For birds and fishes, it’s usually the males that is fanciful (see: peacock).

and there is the woodpecker too, but didn’t know the common name for it, so no picture for that.

And today, it was snowing flowers.. literally. Forgotten the name of the species, maybe it was a dipterocarp. Anyways, as we were walking along the trail, we could hear the sound of flowers falling and hitting the leaves, giving the impression of rain falling, but it’s not. There were flowers everywhere, millions of em on the floor. A great sight to behold really.. Just wondering why the tree is wasting so much resources on the flowers..

Happy Mother’s Day

She used to be my only enemy and never let me be free
Catching me in places that I knew I shouldn’t be
Every other day I crossed the line I didn’t mean to be so bad
I never thought you would become the friend I never had

Back then I didn’t know why
Why you were misunderstood
So now I see through your eyes
All that you did was love

Mama I love you, Mama I care
Mama I love you, Mama my friend
You’re my friend

I didn’t want to hear it then but I’m not ashamed to say it now
Every little thing you said and did was right for me
I had a lot of time to think about, about the way I used to be
Never had a sense of my responsibility

Back then I didn’t know why
Why you were misunderstood
So now I see through your eyes
All that you did was love

Mama I love you, Mama I care
Mama I love you, Mama my friend
You’re my friend
You’re my friend

But now I’m sure I know why (I know why)
Why you were misunderstood
So now I see through your eyes
All I can give you is love
(All I can give you is love)

Mama I love you, Mama I care
Mama I love you, Mama my friend
Mama I love you, Mama I care
Mama I love you, Mama my friend

Mama I love you, Mama I care
Mama I love you, Mama my friend
Mama I love you, Mama I care
Mama I love you, Mama my friend
You’re my friend
You’re my friend
Mama I love you, Mama I care
Mama I love you, Mama my friend
Mama I love you, Mama I care
Mama I love you, Mama my friend

600.. and still counting..

6001

600th posts.. took a while to reach here because of my on-off blogging mood. Coincidentally, May also marks my 5th year of blogging. How time flies, don’t you agree?

5 years, 600 posts.

And for those who don’t know my routine, I’ll do this thing where I look at 100 post before this and roughly get where I was back then, trying to understand the route I took to reach here.

8 months back I was at post number 500.
28 months back I was at post number 400.
33 months back I was at post number 300.
37 months back I was at post number 200.
40 months back I was at post number 100.
60 months back, I wrote my first post.

I didn’t think it would last long, but it did. From the numerous skin changes and address changes, I came a long way. From being a soft-spoken individual, I came out of my shell to be who I am today. From a boy to a man, all within that 60 months. Even my lifestyle took some change, as I become more active in things I didn’t quite like in the past. And I got closer to music.

And I opened myself to the people I trust. I just hope it was the right thing to do. And surprisingly I felt better about it knowing that there is someone watching my back, or at least I think.

Exams are over which means that other than waiting for the results, I’m ready to graduate.  3 years of uni life took quite a toll on me, with the endless cycle of school, exams and months long breaks. But for now, its is over and hopefully get to go on a grad trip with my friends, best before reservist *grumble grumble*.

This posts wasn’t written in one concise stroke, it took me some time to edit and re-edit. Maybe because I wanted it to sound monotonous while making myself aware of what is going on in my life. This few months has been easier than it would otherwise be without the help of family members and friends.
